Privacy Policy for 1104Health Mobile App

1104Health ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal and professional information collected through the 1104Health Shared Care App ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we comply with HIPAA and app store requirements.


Information We Collect

Professional and Clinical Information

When you register as a licensed healthcare professional, we collect:

  • Name, specialty, and practice location
  • Professional credentials (e.g., NPI, license info)
  • Referral activity, communication logs, and in-app interactions
  • Clinical trial searches, case sharing, or educational content viewed

If you choose to share any patient-related information, you are responsible for ensuring HIPAA-compliant patient authorization before doing so.

Camera Permission (CAMERA)

If you use features that require your camera (e.g., photo capture or document scanning):

  • When you use the app’s photo or scanning features, we request camera access.
  • We do not store, upload, or share your photos/videos unless you explicitly choose to upload them (e.g., submitting feedback with an image).
  • Camera data is processed locally on your device and is not automatically transmitted to our servers.

Device and Usage Information

  • Device Information: Model, OS version (for compatibility optimization).
  • Usage Data: Anonymous analytics (e.g., via Firebase Analytics).
  • IP address and crash logs for diagnostics

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide core features such as referral tools, trial matching, and communication including usage of photo capture and scanning.
  • To maintain and improve app performance, stability, and user experience
  • We do not use data for ad tracking or sell it to third parties.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

HIPAA Compliance

1104Health complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and implements safeguards to protect protected health information (PHI). Users are required to comply with HIPAA regulations when entering or transmitting any PHI via the app. We encrypt all PHI in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.


Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share your personal information except in the following cases:

  • Business Associates: With vendors performing services on our behalf under signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or regulation
  • De-Identified Data: We may use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and service improvement

Data Retention

We retain professional and usage data only as long as needed to provide the App’s services or as required by law. PHI is stored only as necessary to fulfill clinical collaboration and may be deleted upon user request, subject to legal requirements.


Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Update: You can review and update your profile from within the app
  • Revoke Permissions: You may revoke camera access through your device settings
  • Data Deletion Requests: You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at privacy@1104health.com

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, which comply with applicable privacy and security standards:

  • Firebase Analytics (usage and crash reporting)
  • Firebase Crashlytics (error logging)
  • Cloud storage providers (for encrypted user uploads, where applicable)

We do not allow these services to access PHI unless covered by a BAA.
